Where can I find my inbox and outbox messages in the Evaluator?

Within the 12Build Evaluator, you have access to a central message center. All sent and received email notifications are stored here, such as evaluation requests and responses from subcontractors. This is ideal if you have disabled certain email notifications but still want to review the information.

Summary

You can access your Inbox and Outbox by clicking on your name in the top-right corner and selecting Messages. This is where all system emails and responses from partners are collected. Administrators also have access to messages from across the entire company, while other users can only view their own correspondence.

Prerequisites and Target Audience

This article is intended for all users of the Evaluator. The visibility of messages depends on your role: Administrators see all company messages, while Initiators and Evaluators can only view their own inbox and outbox.

Opening the Message Center

The Message Center is linked to your personal profile settings.

  1. Log in to the 12Build Evaluator.

  2. Click on your name in the top right corner of the screen.

  3. Select the Messages option from the drop-down menu. 

Overview and search

As soon as you open the overview, you’ll see a list of all relevant correspondence.

  1. Inbox and Outbox: Switch between received responses and invitations sent by the system.

  2. Search function: Use the search bar on the left to search for a specific term, project name, or supplier.

  3. Select message: Click on a line in the overview to open the message content on the right.

In the message view, you will see the exact text of the email as it was sent.

  1. Interaction: Please note that buttons within the email view itself (such as in an HTML preview) are not clickable.

  2. Shortcut: To go directly to the corresponding evaluation or request, click the icon (often an arrow or link symbol) in the menu bar above the opened message. 


Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Why do I see responses from subcontractors in my inbox? When a subcontractor responds to an evaluation (for example, via a private message or a request for a rebuttal in the case of an unsatisfactory rating), this response is placed directly in your inbox within the Evaluator.

Can I permanently delete messages? Messages in the inbox and outbox serve as a log of communication regarding evaluations and generally cannot be deleted by individual users to keep the audit trail intact.

Troubleshooting

  • Symptom: I am looking for a message from a colleague, but I cannot find it.

    • Cause: You likely do not have the Administrator role. Only administrators can view company-wide messages.

    • Solution: Ask your administrator to locate the message or adjust your permissions.

  • Symptom: The buttons in the message do not respond when I click them.

    • Cause: The message view is a static copy of the email.

    • Solution: Use the specific action icon at the top of the message window to go to the active page in 12Build.
