How do I add a Request for Proposal to my Bid Board?

Summary
Your Bid Board serves as the central hub for all requests for proposals. Bids are automatically added there when sent via 12Build, but you can also create them manually or forward requests from your own email program to a unique 12Build email address.
1. Receiving bids automatically
You do not need to take any action for requests sent directly to you via the platform.

Direct requests: When a general contractor sends you a bid via 12Build, it appears immediately on your Bid board.

Publications: Bids generated through the Publications feature and accepted by the general contractor are also posted automatically. You can recognize these by the blue arrow icon.
2. Manually adding bids
If you receive a request outside 12Build, add it manually to maintain a complete overview.

Go to your Bid Board within Bid Management.

Click the Add Bid button.

Fill in the details, such as:

Internal bid name.

Internal bid owner.

Other project details.

Click Save. The request has now been added to your overview.
3. Add bids via email
Do you receive requests for proposals at your own business email address? Simply forward them to your Bid board.
Setup (one-time):

In 12Build, go to your Bid Management environment and open Settings.

Enable the option "Create bid via email." A unique email address will now be created for your environment.

Copy this unique email address.
Forwarding:

Open the Request for Proposal in your own email inbox.

Click Forward.

Paste the unique 12Build email address into the recipient field (CTRL+V).

Click Send.

Refresh your Bid board in 12Build to view the new request, including information and attachments.
Important tips

Dragging between columns: Bids you’ve added yourself (manually or via email) can be freely dragged across all columns of your Bid board.

Awarded restriction: Bids you received directly via 12Build cannot be manually dragged to the "Awarded" column by the Subcontractor. This process is managed by the General contractor.

Question: Are attachments in the email also transferred to the Bid Board? Answer: Yes, if you forward an email to your unique Bid Management email address, the associated documents and information will be imported as well.
Question: Can I share the unique email address with my colleagues? Answer: Yes, anyone within your organization who receives requests can use this address to centrally collect bids on the board.
Troubleshooting

Symptom -> A forwarded email does not appear on the Bid board.

Cause -> The "Create bid via email" feature may not be enabled, or the email address was copied incorrectly.
