Import data
After selecting a project or template, decide which workpackages, subcontractors, and suppliers to include.
-
If necessary, choose which phase of the source project you want to retrieve data from and to which phase in your current project it should be copied.
-
Make your selection:
-
Select all work packages and (expired) subcontractors at once.
-
Select specific work packages or even individual subcontractors.
-
Use the search function to quickly find specific parties.
-
-
Click the Apply button.

-
If a workpackage already exists in the target project, a pop-up will appear where you can choose to Merge or Create Separately.
-
Check the data in the target project, and if everything is correct, click Finish.

Import folder structure
You can also copy the entire folder hierarchy from a previous project.
-
In your project, go to the Documents tab.
-
Click the Templates button, then select Import from project or template.
-
Use the search function and filters to find the desired project or template.

-
Choose whether you also want to include the existing links to workpackages.
-
Manually select specific (sub)folders if you do not wish to copy everything.
-
Click Copy Selection.

Add manually
The import does not replace your current data, but supplements it.
-
After the import, return to your communication or document overview.
-
If necessary, manually add additional workpackages or subcontractors that were not included in the template.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Question: Are the documents themselves also transferred when I copy the folder structure? Answer: No, only the folder structure and the links to Workpackages are transferred, not the files contained in the folders.
Question: Can I transfer subcontractors from the estimation phase to my procurement phase? Answer: Yes, when transferring, you can specify exactly which source phase the data should be moved from and to which target phase.
Troubleshooting
-
Symptom -> I cannot find the project from which I want to transfer data.
-
Cause -> You may not have access rights to that specific project, or the project is located in a different branch that is not selected.
-
Solution -> Check whether you have selected the correct location in the search screen and whether you have permission to view that project.
