What can I see and do in my project overview?

The project overview is the central hub within 12Build where you manage all information, documents, and communications related to a specific project. In this article, we explain how to navigate between projects and what actions you can perform.

In the project overview, you can view project phases, download documents, and communicate directly with the General Contractor. You can also add internal notes that are visible only to you and your colleagues, which helps with efficient internal coordination.

Requirements and Target Audience

This article is intended for all users actively working on requests or ongoing projects in 12Build. You need access to the Projects module to view this information.

Navigating between projects

To go to a specific project, follow these steps:

  1. Click Projects in the left-hand menu. 

  2. In the box immediately to the right of the menu, you will see the name of the project you are currently working on.

  3. Click this box to open a list of other projects or use the search bar to find a specific project. 

  4. For a complete overview of all your ongoing and completed projects, click the All Projects button.

Project details and internal notes

Once you have selected a project, you will see the general status:

  1. In the central pane, you will immediately see general information, such as the current project phase.

  2. Click on More Information to open the full details window. 

  3. In this window, you can leave an internal note about the General contractor.

    • Note: This note is only visible to you and your colleagues. The note will automatically appear with every future request from this specific General Contractor. 

    • Next to the notes, you will immediately see who the contact person is from whom you have received messages.

Documents and Communication

At the bottom of the overview, you’ll find the most important action buttons for the project:

  1. Documents: Click Show documents to view and download all shared files. 

  2. Actions: Use the buttons to provide your response, submit a proposal, or send a new message to the General Contractor.

  3. Message stream: At the bottom, you will see the most recent messages. Click Go to communication for the full history of all incoming and outgoing messages within this project. 


Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Question: Can the general contractor read my internal notes? Answer: No, internal notes are strictly confidential and intended only for communication between you and your immediate colleagues within your own 12Build environment.

Question: Where can I find the deadline for my proposal? Answer: The deadline and other time-sensitive information are usually found directly in the general information box or under the "More Information" button.

Troubleshooting

  • Symptom: I cannot locate a specific project in the list.

    • Cause: The project may have been archived, or you may be viewing a filtered list.

    • Solution: Click the "All Projects" button and use the search bar to search by project name or location.
