How can I upgrade my free subscription?

In this article, you will learn how to convert your free 12Build account to a paid subscription. By upgrading to Activation or Connection, you will gain access to expanded features, increased visibility, and advanced management options for your company profile.

Summary

You can upgrade your free subscription via the blue Upgrade button in the Overview tab or via the Upgrade Now buttons next to specific features. During the process, choose between an Activation or Connection subscription, add any boosters, and enter your billing information to activate the upgrade immediately.

Terms and target audience

This article is intended for subcontractors with a Free account who want to get more out of the 12Build platform. You must be authorized to enter into financial commitments on behalf of your company to complete the upgrade.

Upgrading your subscription

There are three places within 12Build where you can start the upgrade:

  1. Via the 'Upgrade Now' buttons: When you attempt to use a feature that is not included in your current package, click 'Upgrade Now' immediately. 

  2. Via the Subscriptions tab: Here, choose between annual or monthly billing and select the desired subscription (Activation or Connection). 

  3. Via the Overview tab: Click the blue Upgrade button next to your current Free plan. 

Step 1: Expand your subscription with additional options

After choosing a basic subscription, you can add extra modules to expand your reach:

  • Activate the Promoter: Choose a package to increase your visibility.

    • Select the geographic area where you want to be found.

    • Add Boosters for specific workpackages or keywords.

  • Onboarding training: Choose a training session where you’ll receive an explanation of the platform and tips for an optimal business profile.

Steps 2 and 3: Billing and verification

Complete your order by entering and verifying your information:

  1. Billing information: Enter the company and address details to be included on the invoice.

  2. Review your order: View the order summary on the right. Here you’ll see the selected plan, the billing period, and the total cost (excluding VAT). [Image: The complete order summary with the total cost]

  3. Confirm: Accept the terms and conditions and the privacy policy, then click Confirm.

What happens next?

After confirmation, the following will happen:

  • You will immediately receive an order confirmation and the invoice via email.

  • The new features are available immediately in your account.

  • You can commence optimising your profile or utilising the additional options immediately.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Question: Can I add extra boosters later on? Answer: Yes, you can expand your subscription at any time with additional Promotor packages or boosters via the subscription settings in your profile.

Question: What is the difference between annual and monthly billing? Answer: With annual billing, you pay the full amount for a year in advance, which is often more cost-effective. With monthly billing, you have more flexibility in your payments.

Troubleshooting

  • Symptom: I do not see the upgrade button in my dashboard.

    • Cause: You may be logged in as a contact with limited permissions.

    • Solution: Contact the main administrator within your company or send a message to support@12build.com.

  • Symptom: I did not receive a confirmation email after upgrading.

    • Cause: The email may have ended up in your junk mail (spam) folder.

    • Solution: Check your spam folder. If the email isn’t there, contact the Support team via the chat button at the bottom right of your screen.
