How can I customize my signature?

This article is intended for all 12Build users who communicate with general contractors. This allows you to customize your own personal signature; it does not affect your colleagues’ signatures.

Customize your signature

Follow these steps to customize your signature:

  1. In the main menu, go to the Contacts option. 

  2. Click the Signature tab. 

  3. Enter the desired information in the text field, such as your name, job title, and direct contact information.

  4. Save the changes.

The signature you set up here will now be automatically included in every message you send to a General Contractor.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Question: Will my company logo also be displayed in my signature? Answer: The company logo is set centrally by the administrator in the company settings (Logo Use) and usually appears below the personal signature in communications.

Question: Can I choose a different signature for each message? Answer: No, 12Build uses a single fixed signature per user that is automatically added to your outgoing messages to ensure a consistent look.

Troubleshooting

  • Symptom: My signature appears twice under a message.

    • Cause: You likely typed a signature manually in the message window while the automatic signature is also active.

    • Solution: Remove the manual closing from your message; 12Build will automatically add the signature set in your profile when sending.
