Summary
With the Catenda integration, you can link project documents from Catenda Hub directly to your 12Build projects. You can import folders, files, and document collections to a destination folder in 12Build and synchronize them to always work with the desired versions.
Requirements and Target Audience
This integration is available to general contractors who use Catenda Hub.

Permissions: Only users with (sub-)admin rights in 12Build can enable or disable the integration for the branch.

Access: You have valid login credentials for Catenda. To configure collections via the right-hand menu in Catenda, you need Collection Creator or Administrator permissions.
Enabling the Catenda integration
There are two ways to activate the integration:
First method: Via company settings

Navigate to your branch’s settings and click the Integrations tab. [Image: Overview of company settings with the Integrations tab selected]

Locate the Catenda section and enable the integration.
Second method: Via the documents page

Within a project, navigate to the Documents page.

Click the Upload button.

Click on the Catenda logo.

If the integration is not yet enabled, a (sub-)admin can activate it immediately.
Import documents from Catenda
Once the integration is active, you can retrieve files from your Catenda projects.

On the documents page, click Upload and select the Catenda logo.

Select Grant Access and choose the desired Catenda site.

Select the folders, files, or Collections you wish to import.

Use the pin icon to link the Catenda page to the 12Build project.

Select a destination folder in 12Build and click Import Documents.
Collections and Public Sharing
Using the right-hand menu in Catenda (accessible via the "i" icon on the Collection content page), you can set the status of the documents before syncing them:

Revision Management: Select "Follow last revision" to automatically apply changes from Catenda to 12Build, or "Block revision" to lock a specific set of documents.

Finalize: By "Finalizing" a collection, you activate the public link.

External Access: Partners and customers can download documents from finalized collections via 12Build without a Catenda account.

Expiration date: You can optionally set an expiration date for the validity of the shared links.
Synchronize documents

Go to your project’s documents page and click Sync files.

The system checks for updated versions in Catenda (taking into account your revision settings in Catenda).

Select the changed files and click Import documents to complete the synchronization.
Manage linked folders and/or files
You can manage the active link between 12Build and Catenda on a per-item basis:

Click the Catenda link icon next to a specific folder or file.

Enable or disable the link as desired.
Note: If you disable the link, new versions will no longer be included during synchronization. A finalized collection can no longer be modified in Catenda.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Question: Why do I see a blank page when I click on the Catenda logo? Answer: The integration has likely not yet been enabled in the company settings. Check to see if an administrator has activated it.
Question: Can I view the original file directly in Catenda? Answer: Yes, use the redirect icon next to a linked file in 12Build to go directly to the relevant location in Catenda Hub.
Question: Do external partners need a license for Catenda? Answer: No, once the collection has been finalized and the public link has been activated, they can download documents without an account.
Troubleshooting

Symptom: The 'Sync files' button is not visible.

Cause: No documents have been linked via the integration yet.

Solution: First import documents via the integration; the button will then appear automatically.

Symptom: A file is not updated during synchronization.
-
Cause: The file-level link is disabled or the status in Catenda is set to 'Block revision'.

Solution: Check whether the file-level link is enabled and whether the collection in Catenda is not set to 'Block revision'.
