How can I add additional documents and images?

By making frequently requested files—such as Chamber of Commerce extracts and product information—immediately available, you can collaborate more quickly and efficiently with current and future business partners.

You add additional material via the Additional Material section in your company profile. Here, you manage documents relevant to your industry and upload images that are immediately visible to general contractors when they view your detailed profile.

This article is intended for subcontractors who want to optimise their digital business card. Ensure that you have the required documents (such as Chamber of Commerce extracts or product information) and images of your organisation or projects ready in digital format.


Additional documents

Under the Documents tab, you can manage all written information relevant to your clients.

  1. In the main menu, go to Company Profile.

  2. Navigate to Company Details and click on the Additional Materials tab. 

  3. Upload the desired files, such as a Chamber of Commerce extract or documentation about your expertise.

  4. For each document, specify the display option:

    • Only on profile: The document is only visible on your company profile.

    • Include with proposals: The document is automatically added as an attachment to the proposals you send via 12Build. 


Impression images

Images provide general contractors with an immediate impression of your organization and expertise.

  1. Remain within the Additional Materials tab.

  2. Select the option to add impression images.

  3. Upload photos that give a good impression of your company, equipment, or completed projects. 

  4. These images are immediately visible as soon as a general contractor clicks on your detailed profile in the database.

Question: Which documents are recommended for upload? Answer: It is advisable to upload documents that are frequently requested in your industry, such as a recent Chamber of Commerce extract, technical product specifications, or proof of expertise.

Question: Can I also delete a document? Answer: Yes, in the overview of additional documents, you have the option to perform actions on each file, including deleting outdated information.


Troubleshooting

  • Symptom: My document is not being sent with my proposal.

    • Cause: The setting to include with proposals is not checked for this specific document.

    • Solution: Go to 'Additional Material' and check whether the 'Send with proposals' option is enabled for the relevant file.

  • Symptom: The impression images are not visible in the search results.

    • Cause: Images in this section are only displayed when a user clicks through to your detailed profile.

    • Solution: Click on your own detailed profile via the database to check whether the images are displayed correctly.
