Frequently Asked Questions about AI

Where is my data stored?

Your documents remain secure within the 12Build platform. For AI analysis, relevant text segments are temporarily processed by a secure partner (OpenAI) and indexed in our own vector database (Qdrant). Your data is never permanently stored by third parties for other purposes.

Is my data used to train the AI model?

No. Your documents and company data are used exclusively as context for your own queries. They are not used to train OpenAI’s models for the outside world. Your intellectual property remains yours.

Does the AI only use my own company data?

Yes. Each analysis is performed strictly on the documents you select at that moment. There is no cross-contamination with data from other customers; your environment is completely isolated.

How do you handle confidential information (NDAs)?

Confidential data stays within the secure chain of 12Build and its contracted suppliers. Information is not further distributed and is not accessible to third parties. This means AI can be safely used for projects under non-disclosure agreements, provided it fits within your own organizational guidelines.

Who has access to my data?

Access is restricted to you and a limited number of 12Build employees for technical management and support. The external AI provider only has access during the execution of the analysis. Your data is never shared with other customers.

What technology is being used?

We combine LLM technology (OpenAI) for text analysis with Qdrant to instantly retrieve relevant fragments from your documents. This ensures that answers are always based on your specific sources.

Does the AI make independent decisions?

No. The AI is intended solely for analysis and support. Every action or decision requires your manual approval. Furthermore, AI output is always clearly marked visually.

How reliable is the AI output?

AI results are supportive in nature. While we use technical validation to structure the output, the final responsibility for interpretation and verification always rests with the user.
