How can I edit an evaluation in the Evaluator?

You may wish to amend an evaluation that has already been submitted after consulting with a construction partner or in response to an objection. Depending on the score (pass or fail), different procedures are available to make the evaluation editable once more for the evaluator.

What will you find in this article?

  • Reopening an evaluation: How an administrator or initiator can set an evaluation back to 'Open'.

  • Adjusting Inadequate Scores: The procedure for scores in quarantine or on hold.

  • Editing my evaluations: How the evaluator makes the actual changes.

Summary

To edit an evaluation, the status must be reset to Open by an administrator or initiator. This can be done from the statuses 'Submitted', 'Quarantine' (for a 5) or 'On hold' (for a 4 or lower). Once the status is 'Open' again, the evaluator can complete the assessment again via the My Evaluations overview.

Prerequisites and Target Audience

This article is intended for evaluators who wish to make a change and for administrators/initiators who need to adjust the technical status for this purpose. An evaluator can never reopen an evaluation that has already been submitted or published on their own without the intervention of an administrator or initiator.

Reopening an evaluation

Before a change can be made, the status of the evaluation must be changed.

If the score is satisfactory

When an evaluation has the status Submitted, the initiator can manually set the evaluation back to Open. This gives the evaluator access to the questionnaire again.

If the score is insufficient

  • Score 5 (Quarantine): The administrator can set the evaluation back to Open from the quarantine status.

  • Score 4 or lower (On Hold): The administrator or initiator can set the evaluation back to Open from the on-hold status for modification.

Edit my evaluations

Once the administrator or initiator has changed the status to 'Open', the evaluator can make the changes.

  1. Log in to the 12Build Evaluator.

  2. Click on Evaluations in the menu.

  3. Select the My Evaluations option on the left.

  4. Locate the relevant evaluation in the list; it will now appear as a pending request.

  5. Click on the action buttons (such as the pencil icon) to edit the answers, the public score, or the explanation.

  6. Complete the evaluation again to submit the updated version.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Can I still edit an evaluation if it has already been published? Yes, but only if an administrator first changes the status from 'Published' back to 'On hold' or directly to 'Open'.

Will the construction partner be notified if I edit the evaluation? If the evaluation was in the quarantine phase, stakeholders such as the initiator and the evaluated party are often notified again about the change or the re-publication.

Troubleshooting

  • Symptom: I do not see the evaluation in my “My Evaluations” list.

    • Cause: The status is likely still set to 'Submitted', 'On hold', or 'Quarantine'.

    • Solution: Ask your administrator or initiator to set the status of the specific evaluation to Open.

  • Symptom: I am an administrator, but I cannot reopen a 'Submitted' evaluation.

    • Cause: Sometimes permissions are configured so that only the assigned initiator of that specific list can perform this action.

    • Solution: Check who is assigned as the initiator for the evaluation list and ask that person to change the status.
