How can I claim my business in the Evaluator?

Claiming your business is an essential step to link your supplier profile to your 12Build account. Only after a successful claim will the evaluations you receive from clients become visible on your profile, and you will be able to manage their content.

This article is intended for subcontractors who want to view reviews or manage their online reputation on 12Build. You can only claim a profile that is actually (part of) your own organization.

Step 1: Find your company

Before you can claim a profile, you must find the correct one in the 12Build database.

  1. Log in to your 12Build account.

  2. On the dashboard, go to the "Search for Supplier" field.

  3. Type in the exact name of your company or business unit.

  4. In the results list, click the View button next to the correct profile. 

Step 2: View and claim your business

Once you are on the supplier’s profile page, you can initiate the claim process.

  1. Verify that the information on the profile actually belongs to your company.

  2. Click the "Claim Supplier" button in the top right corner of the page. 

  3. A pop-up window will appear asking you to verify the claim.

Step 3: Confirm the claim

To prevent misuse, the claim must always be confirmed via an official email address.

  1. On the verification screen, you will see which email address (the primary contact) the confirmation will be sent to. This can be your own address or that of a colleague.

  2. Click the button to send the verification email.

  3. Open the email you received and click the confirmation link to complete the process. 

Once the claim is confirmed, your company is linked, and you can view and respond to all received reviews.


Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What if the primary contact no longer works at our company? If the email address in the system is outdated and you cannot receive the verification email, please contact support@12build.com. They can assist you with manually verifying your claim.

Can I claim multiple business units? Yes, if your organization consists of different locations or LLCs that are listed separately in 12Build, you can look them up one by one and claim them using the same procedure.

Troubleshooting

  • Symptom: I can’t find my company using ‘Search for Supplier’.

    • Cause: Your company may not yet be registered in the 12Build database.

    • Solution: Contact support to have a new supplier profile created so you can then claim it.

  • Symptom: The 'Claim Supplier' button is not visible.

    • Cause: The profile has likely already been claimed by a colleague or another administrator within your organization.

    • Solution: Check within your team who performs the administrator tasks for 12Build or look in your settings under 'Linked Suppliers'.
