Summary

Here you’ll find contact details, specializations, financial ratings via Creditsafe, and an overview of your joint project activity. You can also create internal notes and manage documents that are visible only to your organization.

Terms and Target Audience

This article is intended for general contractors who want to evaluate subcontractors before adding them to a project or awarding a contract.

Accessing the company profile

You can access a subcontractor’s profile in two ways:

  1. In 'Search': Click on the company name in the search results.

  2. In 'Communication': Click on the company name in a project’s communication overview.

Components of the company profile

Company information and contacts

Here you will find basic information such as address details and a company video.

  • Click on View Full Profile (1) for a detailed overview.

  • You can edit address details yourself (2), unless the specialist manages the profile.

  • Add contacts manually if necessary (3).

Expertise

This tab shows what the subcontractor excels at.

  • View reference projects, work experience, and specific areas of expertise.

  • Add keywords to make the specialist easier to find internally using specific search terms.

View activity and collaboration

In this section, you can view the collaboration between your organization and the specialist over the past two years. Here, you can view contact moments, received proposals, and the number of awarded contracts.

Follow these steps to filter and export the data:

  1. Navigate to the subcontractor’s company profile.

  2. Click on 'Activity'
  3. Use the filter under All Projects to limit the view to projects for which you have actually received a proposal.

  4. On the right side under 'All Projects,' click the option to create an Excel export. This will generate an overview of all projects in which you, as a contractor, have collaborated with the Subcontractor.

  5. Under the heading "Branch Relationships" in the activities section, view the relationships that other branches have with the specialist.

Risk & Reliability

Evaluate the specialist based on factual data:

  • Creditsafe score: The company’s financial health.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Question: Why can’t I edit the address details for some companies? Answer: If a subcontractor manages their own company profile in 12Build, they are the only ones who can change the main address details. This ensures the accuracy of the data.

Question: Are the notes I make visible to the subcontractor? Answer: No, the notes and documents under the 'Linked Documents' tab are strictly internal and visible only to you and your colleagues within the General contractor environment.

Troubleshooting

  • Symptom: I don’t see a Creditsafe score for a company.

    • Cause: A link may not have been found between the 12Build profile and the Creditsafe database, or the data is not available for this company.

    • Solution: Check whether the Chamber of Commerce number has been entered correctly in the company information.

  • Symptom: A contact I added does not appear in the overview.

    • Cause: The addition may not have been saved, or the page needs to be refreshed.

    • Solution: After entering the data, always click the "Save" or "Add" button before closing the screen.
