What will you find in this article?

  • General: The basic steps to access your ad settings.

  • Willingness to Quote: How to indicate which projects you are willing to quote on.

  • Keywords: Adding search terms to your profile.

  • Workpackages: Selecting your countries, activities, and specializations.

Summary

You set up your ad via the Ad module to increase your visibility and the relevance of requests. By accurately filling in your willingness to quote, keywords, Workpackages, and company description, general contractors know exactly what they can approach you for. For international visibility, you can manage this information in multiple languages.

Requirements and Target Audience

This article is written for users with an Activation, Connection, or Supplier license. If you have a Promoter license, you can also use specific boosters for Workpackages and keywords to further improve your position in search results.

General

To start optimizing your visibility, navigate to the appropriate module in your account.

  1. Log in to your 12Build environment.

  2. In the navigation bar, go to Advertisement or click the Edit Advertisement button on your dashboard.

Willingness to Quote

This setting signals to the market your willingness to prepare proposals.

  1. Use the sliders to indicate which types of projects you are open to quoting on.

  2. View the displayed percentage: this indicates the percentage of requests to which you have actually responded with a proposal over the past two years.

Keywords

Keywords help complete your profile with terms that describe your specific work.

  1. Enter relevant keywords that match your expertise.

  2. Note: With a standard license (without Promoter), these words do not directly influence your ranking, but they do contribute to a complete profile.

Workpackages

Here you can specify in which regions and for which specific tasks you will be found.

  1. Select countries: Choose the countries where you are active. This determines in which systems your profile is visible to contractors searching for services.

  2. Select workpackages: Choose the relevant workpackages from the list on the left.

  3. Specify: For each category, indicate whether you supply, install, and whether this is your "core business."

  4. Labels and brands: If available, check additional labels or dealer brands.

Company description

The company description is your calling card on the platform.

  1. Write a concise, compelling text highlighting your organization’s strengths.

  2. Ensure that the most important information is included in the first 90 characters, as only this part is visible in the search results list.

  3. If desired, add translations for the countries where you operate internationally.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Why don’t I see my keywords in the ranking? If you don’t have a Promoter license, keywords are only used to complete your profile. They provide information to contractors but do not automatically boost your position in the search list.

Can I use a different text for each country? Yes, as soon as you’ve selected multiple countries under “Workpackages,” the option to enter your company description in the corresponding languages will automatically appear.

Troubleshooting

  • Symptom: I am not found in the search results for a specific country.

    • Cause: The country in question is not selected in your workpackages.

    • Solution: Go to Workpackages and check the desired country to activate the corresponding system.

  • Symptom: My main activity isn’t highlighted in the profile.

    • Cause: The 'Core business' checkbox is not selected for this section.

    • Solution: Navigate to the selected workpackages and check the box under the Core business column for your primary specialty.
