Terms and Target Audience

This article is intended for suppliers active on the 12Build platform. You need an active account and access to the 'Publications' module to search for and manage projects.

Searching within documents

You can search for specific keywords within the documentation of published projects.

  1. Go to the Publications tab. 

  2. Enter your keywords in the Keywords field.

  3. Check the "Search in documents" option to search directly within the corresponding project documents. 

Note: Use individual keywords instead of combinations (for example, "velux" and "skylights" separately) for the best results.

Save search queries

Save your frequently used search queries to run them again later with a single click.

  1. Run a search with the desired filters and keywords.

  2. Click the button to save the search and give it a name. 

  3. The saved searches appear as buttons at the top of your screen.

  4. To modify an existing search, adjust the filters and click Overwrite Search.

  5. Manage all your searches via the Publications > Searches menu.

Note: Saved searches are personal and not visible to colleagues within the same account.

Notifications for saved searches

Automatically receive a notification when new projects are published that match your search profile.

  1. Click on your Account (top right).

  2. Go to the Notifications tab. [

  3. Navigate to the section for saved searches.

  4. Choose whether you want to receive notifications via email, in the 12Build app, or both. 

Note: The notification setting applies to all your saved searches at once; this cannot be set per individual search.

Set Preferred Partners

Make your network visible to general contractors by marking partners as preferred partners.

  1. Go to your Partner Management.

  2. Select the desired partner and set them as a preferred partner

  3. The selected partner will automatically receive a notification.

  4. General contractors can see who your preferred partners are on your company profile.

Forward a publication to partners

If a project is relevant to your product but you are not carrying out the work yourself, you can share it.

  1. Open the post you wish to share.

  2. Select the option to forward the post. 

  3. Select one or more partners to whom you wish to send the information.

Question: Can my colleague see the searches I have saved? Answer: No, searches are linked to your personal user account and are not visible to others within your organization.

Question: Can I turn off email notifications for a specific search query? Answer: No, the notification settings apply to all saved search queries. You can turn notifications on or off for the entire set of search queries.

Troubleshooting

  • Symptom: You cannot locate any results even though you are certain that a keyword is contained within a document.

    • Cause: You are likely using a combination of words that is too specific.

    • Solution: Use separate keywords (e.g., "velux" and "skylights" separately) instead of a compound search term.

  • Symptom: You are not receiving email notifications for new projects.

    • Cause: Notifications are not enabled in your account settings.

    • Solution: Go to Account > Notifications and check if the option for email notifications for saved searches is selected.
