For an ambitious company such as VST Fire Solutions, it was a challenge to break into the established market. ‘You enter a market that is quite niche and in which the cards have already been largely dealt, but you still want to make your presence felt,’ says Richard.

“We started working with 12Build to grow rapidly in the Netherlands. For this upscaling, we were looking for a platform where we could present our entire identity, from our projects to our certifications that distinguish us in the market.”

Calling contractors yourself and hoping to get them on board at the right moment not only took a lot of time, but also meant there was a lack of focus on core activities.

In addition, there was a recognisable administrative burden: ‘We used to receive lots of separate emails,’ explains Richard. ‘Then you had to keep track of which project belonged to which quotation. Now, documents are directly linked to the right project in the platform.’

This centralised way of working provides clarity and up-to-date information. ‘What you often see is that you receive multiple requests from different contractors for the same project,’ says Richard. ‘It is then important to keep those document flows well organised. That offers us a lot of advantages.’

In addition, the platform provides insight into the market. 

“We can see exactly what is going on. If we notice that fewer requests are coming in, we look in 12Build to see how the market is developing. And the best thing is: we are at the top of the list within our industry. That makes us enthusiastic.”

The young, ambitious team at VST Fire Solutions is looking to the future with confidence. ‘We work with a close-knit group of people who have decades ahead of them,’ says Richard. ‘We have ambitions to expand abroad and we believe that 12Build can help us achieve that.’
