In 2022, Total Project Service, Brugmans Vloeren, and Interbase were brought together under one name: Brugmans Groep. Behind the scenes, this brought its fair share of challenges. Different operating systems, manual administrative processes, and diverse working methods had to be integrated, all while ongoing projects and quotation requests continued as usual.
12Build helped to ensure a smooth transition. While internal work was being done to streamline all processes, accounts were merged within the platform, and clients could easily continue to find the new organization. This was of great importance, as even back then, around 60% of quotation requests came in via 12Build.
A few years later, the organization stands firmly on its foundations. According to managing director Jorlan van Alphen, the strength of Brugmans Groep lies in its comprehensive range of services. The company handles the complete flooring buildup, from screeds to cast floors, carpet, parquet, PVC, and other floor finishes.
“We have our own specialists in-house for every discipline,” Jorlan explains. “As a result, we possess the knowledge and experience to execute projects of various sizes while maintaining full control. We remain closely involved from preparation to delivery. This ensures clear agreements, short lines of communication, and a partnership that remains straightforward for both clients and main contractors.”
This approach is reflected in a wide variety of projects, such as the new construction of the Elisabeth-TweeSteden Hospital in Tilburg, where Brugmans Groep is installing around 20,000 m² of flooring, as well as the Sports Hall and MFA de Hongerman in Nuenen. For both projects, the entire process is managed, from the subfloor to the final floor finish.
“Good collaboration requires clear alignment. That is why, at every stage of the project, the right specialists from Brugmans Groep are in direct contact with their counterparts on the client side. For instance, our work planner communicates directly with the client's work planner, the estimator with the estimator, and the production departments with each other. Because professionals with the same technical expertise communicate directly, we can think along, identify potential issues early on, and maintain control over the entire process.”

While 12Build primarily provided support during the transition to a single organization during the merger, the platform has now become an important channel for new quotation requests. Main contractors know how to find Brugmans Groep; within 12Build, there are many specific searches for the name ‘Brugmans’. The team responds quickly to requests and has a high willingness to quote. Brugmans Groep aims to issue a suitable quote for every project that fits within the company's work area and expertise.
The ambition is clear: to secure as many relevant projects within their core area as possible via 12Build. In doing so, Brugmans Groep continues to support clients with craftsmanship, reliability, and short lines of communication.
With around 1,900 quotation requests annually, working efficiently remains essential. That is why Brugmans Groep actively invests in digitalization and AI applications. One of the first steps is the further automation of parts of the estimation process. This allows employees to focus more on quality control, advice, and client contact, while repetitive tasks are reduced.
The development of 12Build aligns perfectly with this. Features such as the automatic summarizing of project documentation and specifications help to gain faster insights into new projects and prepare quotes more efficiently. The combination of internal AI developments and further digitalization within 12Build helps Brugmans Groep to set up processes more smartly and prepare for future growth.
